Home and Away
Posted in Friends, Home, Places, Travel, University |By the time you read this, I’m probably on the plane to England or have already reached there. Its been a joyful three months of vacation at home but all good things come to an end and now, its time to get back to University. To eat, drink, sleep, take photos, play GTA IV and occasionally study when I’ve got the time. And to make a general comparison of England and India , I’ve decided to make a couple of lists.
The first one is a list of things at home that I will miss once I’ve gone to University, so here we go, in order of preference -
- Family
- Friends
- Paradise Biryani and Indian food in general
- The view from my terrace, and sitting there taking photos with friends
- Lazing around all day watching TV
- The casual Hyderabadi attitude
- Travelling across half the country for the same amount of money as a decent meal in England
- Haggling the price with auto drivers/discussing the latest movies with my driver
- Relative Purchasing Power of money
And just to even things out, the list of things in England that I missed while I was at home, also in order of preference -
- Friends
- Abundance of Photography Goods, all easily available
- High Speed Internet
- Walking around aimlessly in town
- Gliding
I think these lists, more or less, sum up everything. I’m definitely going to miss home and I’m sure Hyderabad is going to miss me as well, as I found out from the sudden burst of rain today which I acknowledged as a salute of goodbye from the city. Jokes apart, I’m also looking forward to Essex since I’ll have productive things to do rather than laze around all day, even though that was a lot of fun. Later!
