Photoclub Meet

Posted in Photography, Places |

We had another meet of the Hyderabad Photography Club today but this wasn’t a photoshoot but more of a meeting and a discussion. Since our meet was at Madhapur and I didn’t have my car handy, I went for a new method of transport - MMTS. It was a fun experience, they journey took only 15 minutes but the Hi-Tech city stop was quite far away from our meet location. All the autodrivers were demanding an exorbitant amount for a distance of hardly 4 kilometres so I gave them the finger and started walking. I was fortunate enough to get a shareauto after a few minutes of walking and I successfully reached our meet location.

At the meet, I met old friends, made some news ones and we had a great time. We also chatted about some ‘top-secret’ issues and events which I will reveal later on. I got my hands on the latest DSLRs and lenses, courtesy of all my friends there. Using a DSLR is an amazing feeling, the sound of the shutter, the view from the viewfinder, the beep of the autofocus, the click of the shutter button, all of these factors come together to make the perfect experience. Infact, I was so impressed by them that I decided to get myself one before 2008. I know that 2008 is a long time away but DSLRs are pretty expensive and I’ll be lucky if I can get myself a good one soon. Overall, I had a wonderful time today, and a good change from the daily boredom.
