Paris - Day Two

Posted in Media, Photography, Travel |

We went to the church today for the Easter Mass. There were long speeches, most of which I couldnt understand, they had the naming ceremony for a few babies and the whole thing took around an hour. It was the first time I had been in a church and it was an interesting experience.

Then, we had a french lunch consisting of 5 courses and took almost 2 hours to finish. The food was delicious and I was completely full by the end of it. I was informed that this was infact a minimised version of a proper french lunch which has more than 10 courses.

I travelled by the metro (local underground train) for the first time today. They are simple superb and the ride is extremly smooth. The speed is amazing and it takes just minutes to travel for long distances and there is a metro every 2 minutes. We rode the metro to the Notre Dame Church was very beautiful. It’s on the banks of the river Seine and I got some good photographs over there. The whole area was extremely crowded, mostly filled with tourists.
