Eragon Movie, Internet and News

I watched the movie Eragon yesterday. I had read the book quite some time back so I didnt remember much of it so I thought that the movie would be something new. But I was wrong. Once I started watching the movie, I remembered some scenes from the book and started relating them with the movie, and I shouldnt have done that. The movie seemed like a badly compressed version of the book. The storyline was’nt that good and someone who hadnt read the book wouldnt understand much.
The movie runs very quickly covering each event only for a short time. The graphics are good, locations are great, music is average but it just didnt create the feeling that the director wanted to. Some scenes were meant to surprise and enthrall the audiance but failed to do so. Most of the actors were all unknown except for John Malkovich , who played the main evil guy and Rachel Weisz who provided the voice of Saphira, the dragon. The book was great but the movie didnt live upto the expectations. It gets 6.5/10.
