Everyone has heard of fake certificates but have you ever heard of fake job offers. This happened to a person I know. He got a offer from a person who claimed to be representing ‘Milestone Hotel‘ in London. Its a pretty famous and posh hotel and the person I knew was quite happy to get an offer from there. After some exchange of emails and details, the person asked for Rs.50,000 which was supposed to be ‘processing fees’ for the visa, etc. He also said that he wouldn’t accept cheque or demand draft and only wanted a direct wire transfer to his account. This got my friend suspicious and he showed me the ’so-called offer letter he had received. One look at it told me that it had to be fake. The grammar used was very bad and there were numerous spelling mistakes.
Take a look at it yourself, the name and passport number have been blurred for security reasons.
